At Hooker Engineering Australia all of our systems are manufactured in-house by our skilled tradespeople. Our team members take great pride in the systems they build and by completing works in-house we are able to ensure stringent quality requirements are adhered to. Engineering oversight is maintained throughout the manufacturing process.
Fabrication
Our team of experienced fabricators can complete small to large fabrication works in-house, within our dedicated fabrication bay with overhead cranage. We have both carbon steel and stainless steel capabilities for baseframes, oil reservoirs and piping. All welding is in accordance with the relevant Australian Standards (AS 1554.1, AS1554.6 and AS4041), as well as our internal quality standards.
Mechanical Manufacturing
Our experienced mechanical team completes all mechanical and hydraulic assembly in-house in our assembly area with overhead cranage. This includes overall system builds encompassing drive and pump module pre-assembly, hydraulic manifolds and valving, pipe and tubework and hosing.
Electrical Instrumentation
Our electrical team is equipped to complete all electrical and instrumentation installation works in-house. Our capabilities include low voltage and extra low voltage installation works.
Testing
Our meticulous testing process ensures all our equipment and workmanship meets the required quality targets. We have a dedicated testing area with a permanent capacity of 110 kW and pumps with a range of flow and pressure capabilities. With the appropriate planning, we have been able to test larger systems, including a 250kW/1000kNm mill inching drive.
We can also pressure test and cycle (air bleed) luff cylinders prior to installation into machines during construction or shutdown work. A dedicated luff cylinder frame is available for stroking of large luff cylinders.
