Managing Director of Hooker Engineering is Michael Hooker.

Before setting up the business, Michael had 15 years’ experience in mechanical and hydraulic engineering and has been involved in a range of mining and material handling projects in WA.

In addition, his international experience includes the challenges of commissioning and maintenance of projects in Africa and Papua New Guinea.

Michael qualified as a mechanical engineer with a Bachelor of Engineering at the University of WA.

However, it is Michael’s extensive experience at the design desk and in the field which makes all the difference to the services Hooker Engineering offers.

He began his engineering career at KRUPP where he gained a thorough understanding of the operating requirements of a broad range of mineral processing and materials handling equipment.

At Vickers Systems and at Brevini Australia, Michael gained specific experience in both hydraulic and electromechanical power transmission.

Then, as project engineer at CSBP Wesfarmers he learned valuable chemical and gas processing skills, including the stringent QA/QC and safety requirements associated with work in major hazards facilities.

Michael now heads a Hooker Engineering team of professionals dedicated to delivering the best engineering solutions to its clients.
